Pulse is a free list of things happening around Asheville. It is run by Robert, one person, not a company.

The short version

You don't sign up. We don't ask for your name, email, or location. There are no ads, no trackers, and no cookies.

What happens when you open Pulse

• Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your request and sees your IP address and browser details to deliver the page.
• Event listings. Your phone asks our server for the current list of events. That request carries only a date range.
• Weather. To match the page's colors to the sky, your browser asks Open-Meteo for the current weather in Asheville. It sends a fixed downtown Asheville location, never yours. Open-Meteo sees your IP address, as any website would.
• Photos. Event and venue photos are copies stored on our own host.
• Fonts. Our font is stored on our own host. Nothing loads from Google Fonts.

What we don't do

• No accounts, forms, or email lists.
• No cookies, analytics, ad pixels, or session recording.
• We don't ask for your location.
• We don't sell or share anything about you.

Links to other places

Tapping a venue, ticket, menu, map, or phone link takes you to that site or app (for example Google Maps, Eventbrite, Dice, Instagram, or the venue's own site). Their privacy rules apply there.

Kids

Pulse is a general events list and isn't aimed at children under 13.

Changes

If this changes, for example if we add reminders or accounts, we'll update this page before the change goes live.
